VERTICAL FRP TANKS WITH SMALL FOOTPRINT AND LARGE STORAGE CAPACITY

Vertical FRP tanks, also known as vertical FRP vessels or FRP vertical tanks, are a kind of vertical nonmetallic container with a circular end cap and a flat end cap. Featured by excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, lightweight and long service life, FRP vertical tanks are widely used for storing sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, gasoline, asphalt and other corrosive media.

In addition, FRP vertical tanks can be designed flexibly to meet the specific need of different industries including chemical, environmental protection, food, pharmaceutical industries, etc.

Features

Lightweight yet high strength
The relative density of FRP tanks ranges from 1.5 to 2.0, only 1/4 to 1/5 to that of carbon steel. However, its tensile strength is close to or even higher than that of carbon steel, and its specific strength can be compared to advanced alloy steel.
Excellent corrosion resistance
FRP is an excellent corrosion-resistant material with great resistance to atmosphere, water and general concentrations of acids, bases, salts and various oils and solvents. It has been widely used in various field of chemical industries for corrosion resistance and are gradually replacing carbon steel, stainless steel, wood, nonferrous metals, etc.
Good dielectric properties
It maintains good dielectric properties at high frequencies. It does not reflect radio waves and is not subject to electromagnetic action, delivering good microwave transmission performance.
Good thermal properties
It has a low thermal conductivity and 1.25–1.67 kJ/(m·h·K) at room temperature, only 1/100 to 1/1000 of metals. It is an excellent thermal insulation material.
